How Does SEO Work?
Search engine optimization or SEO is a very complex topic but the fundamentals still apply.
Firstly, you need to make sure that your content is unique and not copied from elsewhere, however small the sites.
Secondly, it is important that your site is as keyword rich as possible. Search engines will pick up your site as being relevant to the words used, and in some cases it will help. However you must make sure that your site is relevant to the keywords used.
For example, if you have a site that sells sports goods, you should make sure that the title of your site is relevant to the rest of the content. Your site might be sold as footballs, soccer balls, tennis balls or golf clubs, however if it is not relevant to the search that a user would use, then it is not relevant.
The title must be written so that it is short and simple. Each page must then have its own title. You could have a headline the says: “New Hot Tennis Ball (TFS). Make money fast (TFS).
The idea here is that your site needs to appear on the results pages for the words “new hot tennis ball” and the words “tfc” in the title of your page means the same thing. You could write the main text as, “New Hot Tennis Balls, TFS”.
Finally, the way you structure your site will also help your SEO. What you should do is place the keywords in the head of the document. Do not over do it though. A key phrase is a phrase that is commonly used in a search as being a search phrase. For example, it is not good to have “top ten tips on how to get the perfect smile” as the head of the page as it will then be considered as a common search phrase and considered as non relevant by the SE’s. A key phrase would be something like “top ten tips on how to get the perfect smile”
